The story dates back to 2015, when Dr. Guoxing Wang, graduated from UC Santa Cruz, thought about creating a convenient device for monitoring critical vital signs. “I thought a ring might be the solution,” said Dr. Wang.
Based on decades of experience in biomedical circuits and systems (Dr. Wang was the vice president of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems), he knows the challenges are two folds, in both hardware and software (algorithms). After more than six years of working, he finally thought the technology was ready to become a real product.
“I was lucky to find two partners, Dr. Feng, with a degree in medicine, and Dr. Wu, a top expert in AI with rich experience. More importantly, we all believe that the product should be extremely valuable to customers.” The three co-founded the company in 2021, and after two years of hardworking, here RingConn comes.
“I believe it is one of the best in the market, yet this is just the beginning. We are developing more …” said Dr. Wang with a smile.
